9 kids WOW

Yesterday I got Jen's lil kids for the day. We had a good time. Ashley loved feeding Doc. We had planned on going to pick cherries but that got cancelled. So instead we went to Walmart and bought things to paint.....
While there the girls found the wood letters and spelled things out.. I shoulda told them that wasn't funny but it kinda was so instead I took their picture.
I must be too relaxed about things like that cus earlier that day Davin came in my room dieing laughing " Mom , there is a team named The Nuggets." and then a few hours later he thought it was hilarity to tell Brian they found a baseball card and the guys last name was Sax... hhmmm I don't know where he gets that from...

We did it Again...

What??? k so we went to California. In our minds it was gonna be this sweet time at the beach and just chill out and relax... uummm nope. It was cold!!!
i do have to say I thought it was very pretty though.
While playing at the beach i learned a great life lesson...i told each of my kids "don't get wet" ( I know totally lame right) I told them if they got wet it was gonna be cold and Dad would want to leave and blah blah blah...
well they didn't listen.. with in moments they were letting the water on there feet... I said again "don't get your clothes wet" further and further they waded out into the water.. they held there pants up but with this being there first time at the beach and not knowing that with each wave there would be a different height of the splash they ended up getting wet... they all screamed and ran back up the beach.. "oh I'm sorry Mom......" then slowly they would get closer and closer to the water again.. Some of them thought they could out run the water.. One of them really showed her rebel side.. She would run backwards from the wave.. I walked down to her and did the "Super Nanny Thing" ( got on her eye level) "listen if you slip while running backwards and fall the water will catch you and not only will you be wet but muddy too." "Oh, okay I wont." and with out skipping a beat she went right back to it.. This made me think of my own life. The stupid things I do. Even when the truth and reality are staring me in the face. I just shrug my shoulders and say "Oh well that wont happen to me." How many times have I had to walk back up the beach and say "Oh I'm so sorry" The water and the fun of the waves is so fun though..
One of my kids was perfectly fine to stay on the sand and find fun there. Safe and dry building castles & finding shells. Both were equally having fun but in the end the one in the sand didn't have the discomfort of the wet clothes.....I am so glad for the lessons I learn from being a Mom and scared after watching them and there choices with things as simple as water...lol
