The Laundry Situation

Do you agree that laundry is the worst job ever, ever, ever!? It doesn't really matter if you agree. I know for a fact without anyone agreeing with me that it is. I know this because it's the only chore that causes fights in our home. The worst is when I am trying to explain to Brian that I didn't know he needed the "green" scrubs but I did do laundry and the kids come in and say "Mom, I don't have any socks." and I am like "look in the sock basket then" and in comes Jayme "Mom I don't have any shirts for school......"well, did you look on the recliner in my room?" I mean don't they know how to look? Doesn't everyone keep there socks in a basket and there clothes (clean ones) on the recliner. If it is on the floor it is dirtyI hate it. I have to admit that I was never ever going to have a sock basket . It also grosses me out to watch the show Clean House or even Cops. Then I go through our bedroom and reality sets in. Then I kinda feel bad for the people on those shows and wonder if they just had a bad day or maybe just let the Laundry situation get out of hand.

See it isn't actually 'doing' the laundry that I hate (granted I just have myself and my husband to worry about) but it is the folding and putting away. I absolutely hate folding and putting away, that is why clean clothes are found in the laundry basket and dirty are on the floor. And those wrinkles from the lack of folding are simply a fashion statement. :)

Too funny! I am still waiting for Brian to do a load! Until then I don't think that he has the right to complain.

Always have a load going, never stop, that's my moto. Then have everyone put their own crap away! If your husband is like mine they don't do any cleaning "It's the womens job". But at least you can make your kids do their own. Maybe they can all have their own hampers and do their laundry individually. Just some advice to help you become sain. Kids need to learn how to do that kind of stuff eventually why not now? lol

That is the funniest thing I have ever read about laundry. You make me laugh, it doesn't matter if you can't do the laundry, you put smiles on peoples faces, that is your calling in life. Who cares if your clothes come off the couch or out of your perfectly organized closets, cuz "your never fully dressed without a smile" ha ha love ya

Amen and amen!!!
Laundry is one of those things that ensures job security, without it we would have(real) free time and be naked.
We have added a room onto our house and Dave thinks it is so I can have more space to dump the clean clothes...now there is no room to sit in the family room!
But hey, what does he expect? any recliner is fair game right? As long as it is off the floor it is clean!
Thanks for making me smile,Love Ya.
